Hereby we are summarizing the interview with Dr. Janina Kulka about the new website.
We wanted a state-of-the-art website which provides the opportunities of a lively on-line community communication (to post blogs, events, forums, news, professional contents, pictures). I think we managed it well. Our aim is that all Hungarian pathologists use the site every day to get up-to-date information.

We could not generate as much content in the last half year as we wanted. The main reason is maybe attitude. We have to be patient, because the web-site reflex does not evolve so fast. We tried to make interviews with the pathologists and this type of communication brings about much interesting feedback. We are very curious how will our website function in two languages , because our target group is not only the Hungarian pathologist community, but we would like to inform the word abroad about our activities. We would like to give comprehensible help (films, abstracts, pictures, text-based information) to the wide public about our work and role in the health care system.

During the planning process of our web-site, we analysed many good examples (CAP, SABCS, Austrian, Great Britain and Ireland Pathology Society). We know that the people need useful information and they use search engines for it. We are very proud that our web-site has lots of visitors from all around the world. We consider our event calendar posts and some professional conversation and comments a great success, but we know that we should not push the advantages of the site's numerous opportunities. We are trying to inspire everybody to share his/her piece of information, and of course we know that we can reach the stars only in small steps. :-)

Our next aim is that all Hungarian pathologists will be registered and upload contents on the site.
